PIGEON RACING.

The members of the Christchurch Racing Pigecn Society recently flew a race from a new race point, namely Waiau, a distance of 70 miles. The race was a success ir. every way. Fortytwo birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 1.30 p.m. Mr R. A. Cooke's “Red Boa” flew the 6S miles 1563 yards airline in exactly two hours to win. The respective velocities were:—R. A.
