A complaint that petrol had been taken from the tank of his car at the Canterbury amateur cycling meeting at English Park on February 25 was made by a motorist in a letter to the meeting of the Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre last night. The letter stated that the same thing had happened in the case of another motorist at a previous meeting. It was suggested that the centre should encourage patrons to the meetings by engaging a man to guard the cars. The centre decided to inform the police of the complaints of thefts of petrol.
