SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC.

The annual picnic of the St Ninian’s Presbyterian Sunday School (Riccarton) was held recently at Stewart's Gully in glorious weather. The party of 120 travelled by train and spent an enjoyable day.

The Sunday school staff in charge of the outing was the Rev J. A. Allen, Misses Dallas, Hunter, Beggs, M’Olelland, R. Royds, and A. Mac Gibbon, Messrs J. Band and B. C. Dowling Results of the sports were:—lnfant girls: Margaret Davies 1, Kathleen M'Leod 2. Standard II girls: Isabel M’Kay 1, Xoeline Laine 2. Standard Hi girls: Louise Stevenson 1. Peggy Metcalf 2. Standard IV girls: Lily Cameron 1, Joan Bruce 2. Standard V girls; Annie Irvine 1, Wilma Ford 2. Standard VI girls: Audrey Aitkcn 1. Threelegged race, boys: Arnold Swanston and Ennis M’Leod. Infant boys: Alfred Baker 1. lan Stevenson 2. Junior boys: Alec Stringer and Sydney Stringer (equal) 1. Senior boys: Ron McClelland 1, Leslie Aitken 2. Three-legged race, girls: Jean Neilson and Audrey Aitken.
