Make it a Play.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —After reading Tuesday’s paper, I would advocate that our City Council should stage a play, entitled: " A Pack of School Kids.” I am convinced that it would draw as big a crowd as the council meetings do and also help to swell the funds of the Unemployment Fund. The sooner council meetings arc conducted on business-like lines the better for all concerned. Why, Christchurch is known all over the Dominion for the squabbling that goes on. One man wants his way and another wants his, and if they don’t see eye to eye with one another then so and so takes the " pip.” Thus it goes on and things are no further forward at the close of the meeting. No wonder our city is slipping out to sea, for we have no one to push it forward.—l am, etc., FED UP.
