POULTRY MARKET. G. H. Bradford, Ltd., poultry and egg merchants, 118, Tuam Street, report that thye have had excellent yardlngs of poultry both in numbers and quality; all lots mets with ready sales and advanced prices for good boiling liens, pullets, ducklings and big table chicken. We have inquiries for White Leghorn and Black Orpington pullets, anr pigeons, also turkeys in any qualities, and sellers can depend on getting good prices. The following prices were realised:—Table chicken, light 3s to 5s 6d, heavies 6s 6d to 10s 6d; hens, white Leghorns, etc., 2s 3d to 4s; heavies, Black Orpingtons, Rhode Islands, etc., 3s 6d to 5s Od; ducks, old 2s 6d to ss; Ducklings, 5s to 7s; geese, 4s to 5s 6d; goslings, is to 7s; turkey hens, 9s to 11s; gobblers, 18s to 265, all at per pair. GOLD. (Received February 25, 12.30 p.m.) The price of gold is £6 Is lOd per fine ounce. LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. The Bank of N’aw Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business this Frozen meat—The market is short of supplies of wether mutton and prices are nominal. Ewes are in short supply. The reduction in prices has improved the demand for lambs; no indication of an advance in values ytet. Quotations are: Wethers, light 43d to 5d per lb, heavy 3Jd to 4sd; ewes, 2sd to 33d; lambs, 2’s sid to 6d, B's 5d to 5Jd, 4’s 43d to sd, seconds 54d to sid. BUTTER PRICES HIGHER. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Christchurch, have received the following cable from their London office, dated February 24: Butter price are 3s pter cwt higher, and coloured cheese 2s per cwt higher.
