WALL INJURED.

Cannot Play in Fifth Test Match. ALEXANDER IX TEAM NOW. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 22, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 22. Australia’s chances of winning the fifth Test, which some critics consider to be negligible, received a hard blow when it was announced that the fast bowler, Wall, would be unable to play owing to a badly-bruised heel. Ilis place will be taken by the Victorian speed merchant, Alexander. The latter has captured twenty-five wickets in Sheffield Shield matches this season, at an average of twenty-one. Allen, of the visiting team, is also on the injured list, with a strained left side. The Englishmen were reunited in Sydney yesterday. They are anxious to win the last Test, thus drawing level with Australia in the total number of Tests won.
