SWIMMING.

Otago Girl Wins Annette Kellerman Cup. Per Press Association. XAPIER, February 21. The three-mile race for the Annette Kellerman Cup, held in conjunction with the national swimming championships, took place at the breakwater to-day in perfect weather and in a perfectly calm sea. Miss M. Mathieson (Otago) was the winner. The course at the breakwater was marked off by three buoys, the swimmers having to complete ten circuits. There were sixteen competitors, from Hawke’s Bay, Poverty Bay, Wellington, Canterbury, Taranaki, Otago and West Coast. Six completed the distance, Results:— Miss M. Mathieson, Otago (lOmin) . 1 J.
