Capitalising a Mishap. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has donated the propeller damaged in the Southern Cross's landing at Palmerston North on Saturday to the local aero club. He gave it for the benefit of the local unemployed and other deserving purposes. It is proposed to cut the propeller into sections, which will be autographed by Sir Charles. By this means it is expected a large sum will be raised. * Poultry from Britain. In a spacious cage 'on the after deck of the liner Rotorua, which arrived at Auckland from London this week, were three aristocratic birds which have been consigned to a South Island poultry fancier. In spite of the fact that the Rotorua was seven weeks at sea, and in the tropics for the greater part of that time, the birds stood the journey perfectly. Flourmilling Industry.
