“MAKING WHOOPEE.”

Sparkling Revue at St James Theatre. “ Better than the opening production,” is the general verdict of those who nightly pack the St James Theatre to witness Stanley M’Ray and Paul Warton’s second revue of the season, “ Maknig Whoopee.” The presentation is f>ne long laugh, punctuated by applause for thte Flying Wartons, the brilliant violin playing of Rene Rich, the clever dancing and the excellent singing of Amy Rochelle. The sketches, •* Choicest China,” “ Some Mistake,” “At Your Service,” and ” Fun on the Ocean Waves ” give Fred Bluett, Wally Reynolds and Syd. Wheeler great opportunities for fun making, whilst the beautiful song scenas, “A Chinese Fantasy” and another depicting a Dutch landscape, make a wide appeal. A gala performance of “ .Making Whoopee ” Is to be given on Thursday night, when the Christchurch Sailing Club is to entertain the Cornwell Cup

crews. Several hundred seat.s have been reserved for the crews and friends, so intending patrons are advised to book early. The plan is at The Bristol, and day sales are at the St James Confectionery.
