WATER POLO.

The first round of the Canterbury Swimming Centre's inter-club water polo competitions was played last evening. In the A grade ChristchurchUnited beat East Christchurch by four goals to nil and in the B grade Somer-field-Sydenham beat Christchurch-United by 3 goals to 2. Both Elmwood teams won by default, the A grade team from Christchurch-United and the B grade from East Christchurch.
