TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs W. Elmslie, Christchurch, who has been staying with Mrs Westmacott, Nile Street, has left for Geraldine. Miss Janet Paterson, Sefton Street, has left to stay with her sister, Mrs R. Dawson Welsh, Dunedin. Mrs Howard Tripp, Wai-iti Road, who has been staying with Miss Tripp, Orari Gorge, has returned home. Mrs R. Hunter-Weston and Miss Peggy Hunter-Weston, “ Highthorne,” have arrived from Dunedin. Miss Mary Bond, “ Dunrobin,” Southland, who was the guest of Mrs Elworthy, “ Pareora Cottage,” LeCren’s Terrace, has left for Christchurch. Mrs Gerald Bowen and Miss Christobel Bowen, Christchurch, are the guests of Mrs. W. H. Helmore, “ Koromiko,” Wai-iti Road. Miss Mary Rolleston, LeCren’s Terrace, has been spending the week-end with Mrs J. Mowbray Tripp, “ Silverton,” Woodbury.
