FARMER’S SON KILLED.
Fatally Wounded While Out Shooting. Per Press Association. TE KUITI, January 16. Oswald Campbell Johnstone, aged j twenty-two, the son of a well-known ! farmer, of Pio Pio, was found dead with a gunshot wound in his chest at 9 ' o’clock on Saturday night. Johnstone left home at 7 o’clock to shoot hawks. ; and his mother becoming anxious when he did not return, a search was made, and Johnstone's body was found alongside a fence half a mile from home. The gun had evidently discharged when Johnstone was drawing it through a | fence. At an inquest on Sunday a verdict j of accidental death was returned. I
