STOUT EXPLODES.

AUCKLAND, January 15. Severe cuts to both hands and wrists were received by Arnold Agnew, aged twenty-two years, a barman at the Clarendon Hotel, when a bottle of stout he was holding burst in his hands. Agnew was taken to Auckland Hospital, and several stitches were inserted.
