ONE-MAN TRAM.
Used on Papanui Route Yesterday. To meet an emergency yesterday morning the old type of one-man tram, which is used on the St Martins line, was switched on to the Papanui route. Mr Frank Thompson, general manager of the tramways, said to-day that the tram was used only because an emergency had arisen, and not with any idea of trying it out on the Papanui route.
