Government Urged to Cut Interest Rates. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, January 12. Resolutions condemning the Reserve Bank Bill and urging the Government to reduce interest rates and to reduce import duties on necessities and means of production of British origin were carried at a mass meeting of 1500 farmers and citizens here last evening. The speakers were Messrs H. M. Rushworth, M.P., C. J. Parlane, general manager of the New Zealand Dairy Co., and Fr H. Anderson, chairman of the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Co. A resolution was also passed urging a full and open inquiry into the existing monetary system and an investigation into the proposal to establish and maintain a system in direct ratio to the exportable produce of the Dominion,
