CRUISING CLUB'S RACES.

The following handicaps have been declared for the Banks Peninsula Cruising Club’s races during the weekend for power-boats and yachts. The power-boat race will take place on Saturday afternoon, the course being from the moles round the west end of Shag Reef, round the house-boat In Diamond Harbour (this was. In error, omitted from the programme supplied to members), round the Parson’s Rock buoy, and finishing at the moles. The course for the yacht race, starting on Sunday from Ripa Island at noon, is as follows: Round the Whistling Buoy, up the harbour round the west end of Shag Reef, finishing at Ripa Island on a line between the island and the Parson’s Rock buoy. In both of these races points will be awarded for the Nicholson Championship Cups. POWER-BOAT RACE. Dugong scr, Pacific 22min, Roamer 23m in, Omarama 23, Tar&nul 27, Romance 29, Tiger 29, Seamew SO. Lorelei 30$, Patari 31$, Pastime 34. Irene 36. The start will be on the Mark Foy system. YACHT RACE. Marang! scr, Waiata lOnitn, Yvonne 20, Cyclone 25. Linnet 30, Kia Ora 30. Sea Dawn 35. Boojum 36, Se&goer 37. Reverie 45, Cherub 55, Shadow 60, Sea Queen 70, Kiwi 75. The method of starting will bm decided on the day.
