Edwards has been engaged to drive Great Author in the Midsummer Handicap at Ashburton. Great Author has been responsible for several pleasing displays at Addington, and he is a good stayer. He has run his best races on dirt tracks, and as he has done all his training at Addington, he may not hit out as freely on grass as he does at headquarters. LIKELY P.V'ER When Avaunt won last season he gave promise of entering the winning list early this year. He has received a good preparation, and has thrived on the racing he has had. He is engaged in the chief events at Westport, and the classes suit him admirably.
