Complaint by Aranui Residents. A letter received yesterday by the Heathcote County Council from the Aranui Burgesses’ Association drew attention to the menace in the district of sections overgrown with noxious weeds. “ The members of the association are becoming tired of spending their weekends in attending fires which conveniently clear absentee owners’ sections,” the letter added. Mr F. W. Freeman said the uncleared areas were very dangerous. It was decided, on the motion of Mr W. Scarff, to instruct inspectors to take action to compel clearance.
