PAPANUI CONCERT.
There was a large audience at a vaudeville entertainment given at Papanul on Tuesdaj' evening. A clever ventriloquial act was given by Mr Rainy Rex, who caused much amusement with Tim, his lifelike, doll. Items were also given by the following artists:—Mr Jack Wilson, comedian: Miss Meyers, song; a comedy-drama entitled “His Marriageable Daughters,” by Mr R- Jones, Mr T. Lester, and Miss Brookes; the Andersons in clever conjuring act: violin solo, Mr T. Watters; Miss H. Harrison, comedy impersonations. A full orchestra under the direction of Mr C. S. Hardy added much to the entertainment.
