ONLY ONE PATIENT.

Staff of Five Maintained at Hospital. (Special to the “ Star.*’) AUCKLAND, December 21. As a recent visit by the House Committee of the Auckland Hospital Board to the Warkworth Hospital showed that there was only one patient, although a staff of five was maintained, the committee advised the board at a meeting yesterday that in its opinion the continuance of the institution was unwarranted. It recommended that the whole of the board's services in the district should be reconsidered at the end of the financial year.
