i The sale of work and industrial exj hibition held during the week by the I members of the Oxford Terrace Baptist I Church resulted in over £IOO being made ! lor the church funds. Winners of the vocal, pianoforte and elocutionary competitions held on the three afternoons of the fair were: Scripture recitations—Classes A: Joyce Eyre 2 (no first), B: Alwys Watson 1, O: George M’Gregor. Scripture sightreading—Classes A: Joyce Eyre 2 (no first), B: Alwys Watson 2 (no first). Recitation (not humorous)—CJass'es A: Betty Sim and Ross M’Pherson 1 (equal) B: Alwys Watson 1, C: Joy Duckworth ! 1. Solo hymn singing—Class A: Joyce Eyre. Sacred solo—Classes B: Trene i Cordingley 1, C: Joyce Drayton 1. D: j Wilders M’Mullan 1, G: F. Reddell. ; Sacred duet—Classes C and D: Grace M’Kenzie and Joan Voller 1. Hymn singi ing (self-accompanied)—Class C: Grace ) M’Ktenzie. Pianoforte solos—Classes A: Joyce Eyre 2 (no first), B: Doreen I Jones 1, Rayma Thomas 2; C: Joyce I Drayton 1. ■ -
