CABINET ADJOURNS.
Ministers Enjoy Short Holiday. (Special to the " Star.**) WELLINGTON, December 16. Having discussed preliminaries which will enable them to deal fully with measures for the consideration of Parliament when it resumes towards the end of January, Ministers are now beginning to secure some relief from the constant pressure of their duties during the last few months. Full Cabinet meetings are now over until after Christmas, though the Prime | Minister has already mentioned intention of cutting short the holiday period Jjpor himself and his colleagues. Several Ministers will be leaving Wellington at the week-end. The Mi ister of Finance, the Hon W. Downie Stewart, who has undertaken to attend the Manufacturers’ Association
gathering at Dunedin on Monday, left for the south to-night and will spend Christmas at his home. The Prime Minister also intends to enjoy a brief holiday on his Cheviot farm.
