PIGEON FLYING.

The Christchurch Premier Pigeon Club conducted a race from Seacliff during the week-end. The birds were liberated in overcast weather, but, favoured with a strong south-west wind, registered fast times. The winning bird, owned by Mr L. Wrenn, flying in the north section, flew the 180 miles 637yds air line in 3hr smin 34sec. The winner of the south section, owned by Mr A. Fransden, flew the 177 miles 926yds in 3hr 4min 6sec. North Section.
