M.C.C. Players Meet Tasmania. WICKET IN GOOD ORDER. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 16, 12.30 p.m.) LAUNCESTON, December 16. The weather was fine and the wicket in perfect order for the match, which began to-day, between the M.C.C. tourists and Tasmania. There are batsmen of some account in Tasmania, and among those to play against the Englishmen are several colts, among them Gourlay, who left school only a few months ago, Morris* by and Putnam. Tasmania also has its Bradman, this title having been conferred upon Badcock. The team to meet the Englishmen in the match today is: —J. Atkinson, J. Badcock, D. C. Green, R. Morrisby, A. W. Rushforth, S. Putnam, K. Gourlay, A. O. Burrow, G. James, M. Walsh and C. N. Parry, with R. Broomby as twelfth man.
