TEMUKA CYCLE RACE.
(Special to the “ Star.”) TEMUKA, October 28. A road race over sixteen miles last evening resulted:—T. Young (47min 17seo) 1, G. Young (47min 17 l-ssec) 2, G. Metcalf (4 6m in ssec) 3, N. Heron (47min 35 l-ssec) 4, J. Gilmour (46min 5 2-ssec) 5, H. Slierbourne (49min 29sec) 6. Metcalf and Gilmour secured first and second fastest time respectively. E. B. Taylor, the scratch man, fell from his machine during the second circuit and received bruises on the arms and legs. Willmott, the other scratch man, did not compete.
