PETITION TO PARLIAMENT

Unemployed Want Access to Bar of House. (Received October 28, 1.40 p.m.) LONDON, October 27. Forty were treated at the hospitals in connection with the Hyde Park rioting, and twelve arrests were made. A heavy downpour of rain in the evening ended the attempts by Communists to provoke disorders, and damped the ardour of even the most : pugnacious. Parliament House was strongly guarded. Mr James M’Govern is presenting a petition in the House of Commons in which the hunger-marchers ask the right of access to the Bar of the House on November 1 to plead the cause of 3,000,000 unemployed. Mr M’Govern will then submit a motion asking the House to agree to hear the men.
