Port Whangarei Returning to Port. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received September 17, noon). SYDNEY, September 17. The New Zealand-owned steamer Port Whangarei, which left Sydney on Thursday for New Zealand, via Port Stephens, has suffered some damage to her tailshaft, according to a message received at Newcastle, and it is expected that she will return to Newcastle or Sydney for repairs. It is understood that she will be able to make the journey under her own steam.
