ST MARTINS LIBRARY.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the St Martins Public Library was held in the library, Mr J. E. Jones presiding over an attendance of twelve members. The monthly statement showed: —Subscriptions £lO 16s, extra book* £6 2s. During the month there were fourteen new subscribers and thirtythree renewals. The total number of subscribers waa 312. Books purchased for the month were:—Fiction 53, nonfiction 18, juvenile 1, replacements 3, total 75, books repaired by the ladies 68. Accounts amounting to £l9 Is 3d were passed for payment. The usual sum of £2O was allocated for the purchase of books for the month. It waa left to the chairman to interview Mr M. J. Barnett, curator of reserves, regarding topdressing the lawn in front of the library.
