HOMING PIGEONS SHOT.

(Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, August 22. In connection with the shooting of pigeons during a race on Saturdav, Mr A. Hall Skelton, of Auckland, who is a homing pigeon enthusiast, said that for some weeks past birds had been shot at when in flight between Hamilton and Auckland. A number of valuable birds are still missing, including Miss Duff’s Whisky, which has won many prizes both at shows and in races.
