“ Strenuous efforts should be made to induce the Government to send to New Zealand House in London an exhibit similar to one of the country bays staged at the Winter Show,” said Mr W. J. Jenkins, president of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association. when commenting, on Saturday night, on the success of the show. “ The present New Zealand exhibit in London is vastly inferior to that of Canada, and as it is not simply a matter of public enterprise, but for the good of the whole Dominion, the Government should take the matter in hand. Such a display would advertise New Zealand in a more effective manner than any other I know of.” Members of the basket-ball team who will represent North Canterbury (Christchurch) at the interprovincial tournament at Invercargill this week left for the south last night.
