BALL AT TEMPLETON.

Benedicts and Spinsters Gather. The popularity of the Templeton benedicts and spinsters ball was shown oh Thursday evening by the large attendance. The hall was decorated with .orange and purple streamers /an 4 gteenery. The "music was supplied- by Woodward’s Orchestra (Christchurch) and extras . wej-gr , played., by Mjr Day, jun., Christchurch. Mdssrs P! Alfeld and D. Mackie were. M.C/s. The supper committee comprised: Messrs Childs, M’lnnes, Alfeld and Gordon, Misses Woods and Alfeld. The winners of the novelty dances were: Lucky spot, Miss P. Gruppelaar and Mr Weir; Monte Carlo, Miss B. Froude and Mr Holland. Mr and Mrs P. Alfeld led the grand march.
