A course for stock agents will start at the Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, on August 23. The course last year was very successful, and many inquiries have already been received for this year’s course. Instruction is given in a wide range of subjects, and is designed to supply stock agents with knowledge that will increase their usefulness to farmers.
Fine weather was experienced all over Canterbury during the week-end. Saturday night was cold, the frost being 11. 3degrees. Last night's was 13.9 degrees.
