THE QUEEN OF STARLAND.
Someone has toiled for five long years, Against failure and all its fears, And built a mighty wall so high. Brick by brick as the years went by, Until to-day it stands erect—’Twas built by kind deeds, you’ll reflect. Someone's placed in memory’s book, If others were only to look: Pages of kind and loving deeds, Among these flowers there are no weeds: ’Tis a wreath of flowers so bright, But ’twas not made all in one night. Someone adds as the days go by One more brick to that wall so high; And places in that wreath each day v Another flower there to stay. For ever and ever they’ll last As one by one the years fly past. Someone works among us this day And willing for ever to stay. ’Tis . dear Aunt Hilda of Starland, Who is known through New Zealand, Who built that mighty wall so high And owns that wreath that will not die. (Original.) Ultan Sullivan.
