Thte South Island clay bird champion ship was shot off on the North can terbury Club's ground at Rangiora thi afternoon, conditions being twenty-on birds from the 18yds mark. There wen fourteen competitors. I. G. Watkin (Rangiora) broke the possible, takir.j the first trophy and the championshi] with a first-barrel performance, l! Arnst and H. M. Wright tied wit: twenty birds each, and dividted the sec ond prize.
