A ceremonial parade will be held on Monday at King Edward Barracks by the First Battalion, Canterbury Regiment. After receiving the Colours on parade the battalion, headed by the band in full dress, will march through the city about 7.35 p.m. The route taken will be by way of Cashel .Street and Colombo Street to Victoria Square, and return by the same route. On return to the barracks, LieutenantColonel S. C. P. Nicholls, N.Z.S.C., O.C. Southern Command. will present medals, trophies and marksmen badges j for rifle and Lewis gun shooting to i members of the regiment. Among the | trophies to be presented arc competition cups for shooting and efficiency won by B Com pan}*, and a rose bowl for the best rifle shot in the battalion, wdn by C.S.M. C. V. Wilson, B Company. The commanding officer extends an invitation to members of the public to be present at the barracks during the presentation.
