The match was featured by the free hitting of Richardson and Tolhurst. Sixteen Canadians batted. The Australian scores were: Richardson, c Carter b Wilson .... A 6 Nutt, c Wilson, b Groves 20 Bradman, b Groves It Kippax, lbw, Wilson 3 0 Jves, c Carter b Wilson 3 Rofe, lbw. Wilson 8 Mai ley, c Bell b M’Lean 1 Tolhurst, c Bogie b M’Lean 50 Carter, b Tate 3 7 Fleetwood-Smith, st Hoyle b Tate . 1 Carney, not out 3 3 Extras 7 Total 191 M’Cabe did not bat. Bowling for Toronto, Wilson took four wickets for 53 runs. For Australia, Mailey took seven wickets for 36 runs and Fleetwood-Smith seven for 40. Following the completion of the Australian innings, the local team batted out time, scoring 122 for five wickets.
