Newcastle Overwhelmed by N.Z. Rugby Side.

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 29. The All Blacks completely overwhelmed Newcastle at the Sports Grond this afternoon in the second match of the tour, winning by 44 points to 6. The local team put up a fair showing in the first half, but were absolutely powerless to stop the onslaught of the visitors in the second period. The teams were as follows: New Zealand—Lilburne, Caughey, Holder, Proctor, Innes, Page, Corner, Hore, Jessep, Palmer, Max, Clarke, Steere, Manchester, Barry. Newcastle—T. Hills. Rose, J. Hills, Kingston, James, V. M’Namara, Rutherford, Tobin, Champion, Parbury, G. M’Namara, Deglorion, Bland. M'Donald, Horley. Holder, Page, Proctor and Manchester were the most

outstanding players on the visiting side, the big forwards being everywhere after the ball. Page and Holder failed at goalkicking. The match was played in real football weather. The ground was soft fol- j lowing rain. Newcastle won the toss. Holder scored = ) within a minute of

He cannot play next Saturday and may not play again on the tour. Caughey replaced Bullock-Douglas before the game started, but the latter was not reported to be injured. The All Blacks were never really extended. Proctor scored five tries, Holder three, and Innes, Caughey, Steere and Hore one each. Corner kicked four goals, all in the second spell.
