COSOMSK'S VERDICT. The Coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, returned a verdict to-day that James Ivan Holmes died as a result of head injuries received in a collision between the motor-cycle he was riding and a van,‘driven by George Nevell, on May 25. The Coroner said it was possible that the onus was on the driver of the van to observe the rule of the road. “ I am not going to say anything further than that,” he added. NIGHT LANDING. AUCKLAND, June 30. The headlights of five motorcars were used to light the landing field nt Mangere Aerodrome for the arrival of Squadron-Leader M. C. M’Gregor nt 5.30 Inst evening, after a flight from Christchurch. The pilot made a perfect landing after a fast flight of only five and a half hours, including two stops. Mr M’Gregor left Christchurch at iioon.
