SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT.
i The Civic Theatre was packed last evening when the New Brighton Municipal Band gave the second of a series of concerts. The whole of the proceeds will be devoted to the Returned Soldiers’ Unemployment Fund, which it is expected will benefit by a fairly large sum. The band, under the leadership of Mr J. Nuttall, rendered popular melodies, and items were also contributed by the following: Messrs Les Stewart and his partner, popular entertainers; Harold Shaw and Jack Darragh, elocutionists; Len Christie, saxophone; L. Grummitt, pianist; and H. Fiske’s orchestra in popular numbers.
