HARRIERS.
Anglican Club Visits Ashburton. The event looked forward to by the Anglican Harrier Club of a combined run at Ashburton with the Timaru Angican Harrier Club took place on Saturday, under ideal conditions Both clubs were well represented, there being in all thirty-two runners participating in the run, which, starting from St Stephen’s Schoolroom, was over a course of five and a half miles. The experiment proved so successful that the question of providing a trophy for annual competition in similar runs is under consideration. After the run, the combined clubs were the guests at afternoon tea of Mr and Mrs M’Eachen, Cameron S-treet, to whom, along with those .supporters who provided transport facilities, the thanks of the club are due. Results on the run-ins held on Saturday afternoon at the residence of Mrs R. J. Watson, Spreydon, were as follows:—Fast pack—R. M. Barrer 1, L. C. Richards 2. Intermediate pack—A. Clapshaw 1, T. H. Wilhelm 2. Slow pack—J. Craddock and E. A. Sayers equal 1. Church Parade. Harriers are reminded that the annual' church parade of the combined harrier clubs will be held at the St James’s Anglican Church, corner of Riccarton and Mandeville Roads, on Sunday, July 3, at 6.30 p.m. ROAD RACE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 26. A harrier road race. Port Chalmers to Dunedin, was won by E. C. Brown in 39min 55sec. a record for the race by more than a minute. B. A. Brown was second and T. G. Pearson third. Apart from the winner's, the fastest times were recorded by J. G. Barnes, who finished ninth in 40min lOsec, and D. W. Loriraer, who finished fourth in 42min 9sec. A teams event run in conjunction with the race was won by the Civil Service Club, with Anglican second and Caversham third.
