ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.

The first of the Christchurch Orchestral Society for the 1932 season will be held at the Radiant Hall on Wednesday, June 15 The society has appointed Mr Angus Gunter as its conductor. Mr Gunter has just returned from an extended tour of the Continent and Great Britain, where he studied under Herr Weingartner and other worldfamous conductors. With his previous experience added to his more recent travels, he has returned to Christchurch full of enthusiasm. The orchestra has been supplemented by the addition of a number of well-known amateurs, and is now at full strength. Practices have been held under the ccnductorship of Mr Gunter for some time in preparation for the first concert, and have been well attended.
