THE HON MRS CRUTCHLEY
Recent Death at Sunninghill Lodge. QUEEN VICTORIA’S ATTENDANT. The Hon Mrs Crutchley, who died at Sunninghill Lodge, Ascot, on Saturday, April 9, at the age of sixty-eight, was Frederica Louisa, second daughter of the third Lord Southampton and sister of the present peer and of the Speaker. From 1883 to 1890 she was Maid of Honour to Queen Victoria, to whom her mother was Lady of the Bedchamber from 1878 to 1901. She was married in 1890 to Mr Percy Edward Crutchley, son of General Crutchley, of Sunningdale Park, Berks and she leaves a son. Commander Victor x\lexander Charles Crutchley, V.C., D. 5.0., now serving in the New Zealand Division of the Royal Itjvy. The funeral took place on Wednesday, April 13, at Sunninghill Church, Berks. Only relatives and personal friends attended among whom were: Mr Percy Crutchley and Mrs Gunter (daughter), the Speaker (brother) and the Hon Mrs Fitzroy, Lady Charles Fitzroy, Lord Southampton (brother), Lady Crutchley (sister-in-law), Commander Fitzroy, R.N., and Mr S. Fitzroy.
