A feature of the reunion of South African war veterans on May 28 will be the presentation to the Canterbury Association of a hand-worked silk flag to be carried on ceremonial occasions. The flag is the work of a sixteen-year-old Christchurch girl, Miss Ronomai Knights, who is presenting it to the association in recognition of the assistance given to her parents by the association, following the tragic earthquake in Napier. The flag will be received by the president of the association, Dr T. Fletcher Telford, and will be carried at the annual church parade of veterans on May 29.
