Telephone Charges.
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —To-day I received my telephone account for the half year, £4 15s for th< house ’phone, and £8 12s 6d for my offic< 'phone. This, to my mind, is one thin; that could be reduced by at least 25 pei cent, if not more. The amount lost by th< Post Office would be compensated for by the new' subscribers gained and the ok ones retained, because I, as well as severa others I know of, are discontinuing oui private ’phones at the end of this half year and I am quite sure that there will be i big decrease in the number of subscriber! who, as I mentioned before, would keei their 'phones if the fees were reduced con siderably. Trusting others will back m< up in this,—l am, etc., SUBSCRIBER.
