Harold Ernest Fenton, a dairyman, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court this morning on two counts of selling milk in bottles on which there was a false trade description and one count of using a registered trade mark, “ Devondale,” intended to mislead as to real manufacture. The informations were laid privately. The Magistrate (Mr 11. A. Young) reserved his judgment.
** It is hoped that you will be able to continue the good work of making a river out of it," stated a letter from the Beckenham Burgesses’ Association to the Drainage Board last night. The letter, which referred to the board’s work in improving the Heathcote River in the Beckenham district, stated that it was gratifying to residents that such a complete scheme of cleaning up was in progress. It tended to improve the outlook and possibly the value of properties in the district.
