Mrs L. Brownie and family, Hornby, left yesterday for a month's holiday at Port Chalmers.

Mr and Mrs F. J. Booth, Hornby, have returned from a camping holiday in the Springbank district. Mr and Mrs R. Atkinson Reddell, Armagh Street West, returned yesterday from Gore Bay.

Mr and Mrs Holden Mirams, who have been spending the Easter holidays with Mrs Mirams's parents, Mr and Mrs Fred Parsons, Governor’s Bay, motored home to Dunedin yesterday. Mrs E. A. Johnson and the Misses W. Williams, G. Wilson, M. Reese and E. Ellis, who have been staying at Mr and Mrs Johnson’s summer .camp at the Selwyn Gorge, Whiteeliffs, have returned home.

Miss Rosemary Harley, who has been the guest of her uncle and aunt, the Hon G. J. Smith and Mrs Smith, Opawa, will leave on Monday en route to join the Tamaroa at Wellington for England. Mr and Mrs Ronald Talbot, Carlton Mill Road, who have been the guests of Dr and Mrs Noble Adams, Blenheim, have returned to Christchurch. On Monday, their Excellencies, the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe, paid a short unofficial visit to Havelock. After lunching at the Post Office Hotel, their Excellencies attended the axemen’s sports at Brownlee Park, during the progress of which the Governor-General took several photographs of those taking part. While Lady Bledisloe received some of the residents at the Vice-Regal car, the Governor-General paid a visit to Mr W. Boers, who has lately celebrated his ninety-seventh birthday, and who is the oldest Freemason in the world. Their Excellencies returned to Nelson about two o’clock in the afternoon.
