FAILED TO PAY LEVIES
For failing to pay their unemployment levies a number of persons were fined to-day by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. Arthur Campbell was fined 10s and costs on one charge and was convicted and discharged on four others. Daniel James M’Callum was fined 10s and costs on each of two charges and was convicted and discharged on three others. Alexander Watt was convicted and discharged on four counts. Eric Ernest Copplestone was fined 20s and costs for making a misleading statement when filling in an application for relief work. For a similar offence, Arthur Jennings Skelton was fined £2
