HARRIERS

Baptist Club Makes Changes in Constitution. There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Baptist Harrier Club last evening. The president, Mr T. E. Dench, occupied the chair. The advisability of making amendments to the constitution was discussed. One suggestion made was that the number of vice-presidents be limited to four, instead of being indefinite, as at present. After discussion, however, it was decided not to alter the rule. On the motion of Mr A. G. Miles, it was decided to eliminate the term “ intermediate active members ” from clause 5, and to grade the members as seniors and juniors only. It was decided to open the club season on April 16. Seven offers of places to visit on runs were received with thanks. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr S. T. Barnett; vice-presidents, Messrs T. E. Dench, E. Vincent Smith, E. G. Keats, K. G. Archer, R. L. Kennett, Rev L. A. North and Mrs G. A. Dawson; club captain, Mr M. D. Watts; deputycaptain, Mr M. Dawson; secretary, Mr E. J. Walker: treasurer, Sir A. E. Miles; auditor,-Mr M. P. Poate; executive committee, Messrs C. P. Jones and G. L. Harrison; handicapper, Mr E. G. Keats; delegate to the Canterbury Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A., Mr Watts.
