HOTEL LICENSEE FINED.

IJgnrv Albert Nickholls, licensee of the Zetland Hotel, appeared before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., to-day charged with breaches of the Licensing Act. For exposing liquor for sale after hours on February’ 28, defendant was convicted and fined £5 and costs. For encouraging an intoxicated person to take liquor he was convicted and fined £2 and costs. Charges of supplying liquor after hours, and of supplying an intoxicated person preferred against Clarence Ward, a porter at the hotel, were dismissed.
