TURK RUNS AMOK.

MARSEILLES, March 10. Firing a stream of bullets from two revolvers, Ahmed Osman, a youthful employee at the Turkish Consulate, killed the Consul, Server Jemal Bey, and then committed suicide. Jemal had reproached Osman for remissness in his duties and Osman immediately drew revolvers from his pockets and wounded Jemal in the wrist. Jemal escaped to the vestibule, but there fell, riddled by a stream of bullets. The staff found Osman’s bodyin the office. A cartridge belt was around his waist.

The Consul’s wife and two daughters were upstairs while the tragedy was being enacted.
